Discover your competitors’ leaks to improve the ranking in your niche!

The rules of SEO vary per search engine, market version, locale and even within a related keyword set. Therefore a thorough research is needed even for similar keywords in your niche. About a year ago Link Research Tools gave the SEO world the Competitive Landscape Analyzer (CLA). Today we added the higher level tool Competitive Keyword Analyzer (CKA) which allows you step up to a bird’s eye view.

The Competitive Keyword Analyzer (CKA) provides you with brief heat-map comparison and fully detailed table for up to 55 SEO metrics for the top ranking 10 websites for up to 10 keywords at a glance. So when starting out in a new niche or sub-niche, taking up a new client or just expanding your keyword set, the Competitive Keyword Analyzer is the first tool to start for competitive research. From there you can start more detailed analysis in the Competitive Landscape Analyzer (CLA) or Competitive Link Velocity (CLV) tools among others.

How does this work?

You can specify up to 10 different keywords and your desired metrics from the comprehensive range of up to 55 metrics. You’ll investigate potential weaknesses of your competitors while exploring new possibilities for a particular keyword to rank.

The heat map shows you potentials at a glance. The intensity of the colors allows you to detect patterns and anomalies of other ranking competitors. You can dive right into deeper analysis right off your report by hitting the various shorts below the heat map after selecting your targets.

In the detail view you can verify your first impressions and ideas and perform real-time sorting and filtering just like in any other tool of the Link Research Tools. There you can for instance understand the relation between Linking Root Domain Popularity, Tweets and actual rankings. You could also filter down to only the top 3 for each keyword and understand their “secrets” in comparison better.

Verify your first impressions and ideas

This is where the Competitive Keyword Analyzer (CKA) shows more data about relations between top ranking websites than any other tool. Explorer your competitors and niche and learn from them. Research your niche to answer all these questions at a glance among many more: How many links do I need to get have for a certain position? Which Domain Popularity is required to earn a top 10 ranking? Do Tweets or Google+ votes play a major role in this keyword set?
Tip: you can sort in the data tables by multiple cascaded columns by pressing shift when clicking on the header columns.

The Competitive Keyword Analyzer Tool (CKA) is available for the Superhero and Enterprise accounts.

Improved Competitive Link Velocity Tool

The recently published Competitive Link Velocity (CLV) tool already became one of the most popular tools of the Link Research Tools toolkit, so we decided to implement an additional view mode to optimize your link analysis experience.

The new 30 day mode shows link growth over the last 30 days on a daily basis. This compact view visualizes the link growth of your competitors’ link profiles and therefore allows you to react even faster on significant changes. Of course the 24 months view is still available.

In addition, a new filter function will show you possible relationships between the given domains in three modes total now:

  • Link growth per each domain (the old version, default)
  • Link growth related to all domains, very meaningful for competitors that very competitive to each other – don’t bother comparing your link growth to Facebook or Wikipedia tough.
  • Link growth related to your own domain (to visualize the strengths and weaknesses of competitors better)
