How does LORT work?

LORT works in conjunction with a Link Detox report that has already been made. Because the majority of the calculations have been done already, LORT works fast. By using a recent Link Detox report LORT knows all about your niche, your existing links, your anchor text classifications and much more. Because LORT takes into account your existing link profile a link that appears good for a domain with a strong healthy link profile may be seen as risky for a domain that has a weaker link profile.

How to use LORT for Link Building

LORT is best used for checking small batches of potential URLs where you may be able to get a link or checking a single URL using a bookmarklet.

LORT has a very simple interface: a field where you enter the URLs you want to check, a dropdown menu where you select your Baseline DTOX Report and a dropdown menu where you can optionally select your DTOXTUNETM settings:

After clicking ‘Run Report’ LORT goes to work gathering SEO data and calculating the DTOXRISK, and all the usual metrics you would expect to see in a Link Detox Report.

The report shows pie charts for the DTOXRISKTM and the Detox Rules Breakdown:

The results table looks similar to a Link Detox Report with the familiar yellow, green and red colors showing where you should be concentrating your link acquisition efforts. Straightaway you can see potential links with a low DTOXRISK and high Power*Trust. Could link building get any easier?

Checking single URLs with a bookmarklets

A bookmarklet is a small piece of JavaScript which is added to the bookmark toolbar of your browser. Many other LRT tools work with bookmarklets too, such as QBL, BLP, SSPT. With LORT, bookmarklets come in three different flavors:

Use this to analyze the page open in your browser with the latest DTOX report for a selected URL. This would be an ideal bookmarklet if you mainly worked on one or two domains.

Use this to analyze the page open in your browser with the selected baseline DTOX report. This would suit a link builder who is working intensely for a month on one domain.

[LORT]
Use this to open the Link Opportunities Review Tool form and change the settings as you wish! This is a handy bookmarklet for any link builder.

The LORT bookmarklets are super easy to install.

At the bottom of the start page of LORT you will see your bookmarklets, ready with the correct URL and latest DTOX report ID. Simply drag these to your bookmarks toolbar and you are done.

So now, even the most casual browsing session can become an opportunity to find great links. If you find yourself on a page that is relevant to your niche and you think you can get a link there, click the LORT bookmarklet and within minutes you can find out if the link is worth pursuing or not.

Launching LORT from other tools

With the following tools: QBL, BLP, JUICE, CLA, CDTOX, SERP, CBLT, LJT, MLT, LCT, BOOST, LJR and SSPT, you can launch LORT for selected or all results. QDC has a LORT icon in its first column to launch LORT in order to analyze the five entered domains. Here is an example of LORT being launched from the results of the Link Juice Recovery tool:
