Right after the release of our www.linkresearchtools.de, we just released a new version of our Link Research Tools. The outstanding innovations are further improvements to the critically acclaimed Quick Backlinks Tool (QBL), the keyword classification for the Backlink Profiler and the integration of SEMRush keyword data at no additional costs.

Quick Backlinks Tool just got better

On the basis of the feedback from you, our customers, we made the QBL even better!
Further optimized queries and improved data management bring a further boost in speed, so you are now able to analyze your backlinks another one or two seconds faster!
The new QBL also comes with a redesigned report view, including the new tabbed value breakdowns, which allow you to see all the relevant information even faster!

The new QBL

Finally you don’t have to decide between seeing the data tables and the charts. These improvements also help with your analysis work in all the other tools.

The new BLP

Of course the export functions to CSV and XLS remain available.

Keyword Classification in the Backlink Profiler

Analyzing your Backlink Profile just became more effectively through the keyword classification feature you know from the Competitive Landscape Analyzer. You are now able to classify your Anchor Texts in the BLP and do even better and more detailed analysis!

Like in CLA, we distinguish between "Money", "Brand", "Compound" and "Other" keywords.

Here’s an example of a Compound Keyword: "Latest news on cnn.com" would be a Compound Keyword for cnn.com because it is composed by the Money Keyword “Latest news” and the Brand Keyword “cnn.com”. A typical "Other" keyword would be "click here".

Keyword classification at the BLP

This useful table allows you to classify a huge amount of keywords at once.

Keyword distribution at the BLP

A nice chart shows the distribution of your keywords, right after the classification.

Even more Links!

The optimized Link Check now shows not just one but all links per page/domain without reducing the report creation speed a bit. Through that, you get even better results and can do even better analysis.

Improved Link Checks

Besides the Backlink Profiler, the new Link Check is available in Link Alerts, the SERP Research Tool and the Link Juice Recovery Tool.

SEMRush Domain Keywords

Until now, SEMRush data was only available to customers who had their own SEMRush account and entered their API Key. We’re happy to announce that we have an agreement with SEMRush that allows us to show the number of keywords a domain ranks (the SEO metric is called “KwDomain”) for to all customers at no extra charge.
Don’t forget: You can select which country you want to see this SEMRush data for in the project settings!

QBL the Yahoo Site Explorer alternative is here

Yahoo Site Explorer went offline on Nov 21 and left a big black hole. Doing a quick lookup of backlinks of a site suddenly stopped working the way it used to work.

QBL (Quick Backlinks) by Link Research Tools fills the gap as the perfect replacement for Yahoo Site Explorer finally.

QBL swaps Accuracy for Speed

Quick Backlinks (QBL) reverses the philosophy of Link Research Tools which has always been focused on accuracy and comprehensiveness for all data reported.
This means you get to see backlink data that could be a couple days old. But not to worry; we still got the freshest and most up to date results out there compared to our competitors. This is good enough for every “quick-glance”.

The major change is that it’s not “up to the minute” which is a paradigm shift for QBL only.

To quote Christoph C. Cemper, creator of Link Research Tools:

I must really admit, this is frickin cool – I wish I had built this
quick backlink checker a lot sooner, as
it helps so much in so many situations and is STILL
so much cooler than everything else out there!

Quick Backlinks (QBL) features and philosophy

So instead of reporting only 100% validated and up to the minute accurate data as the other reports in Link Research Tools do, the philosophy for QBL is different

QBL does provide

A quick back link list for any single page or domain wide

Up to 2000 back links per report (this will soon improve in the future)

Extra data for every link like a Link power metric, Domain Pop (Linking Root Domains), IP, Alexa (you don’t need 53 metrics for every backlink check, do you?)

Charts for country and TLD, Anchor text breakdown, Deep Link Ratio, and other things we would call “basic info” (albeit that’s more than other “backlink checkers” provide

A way to quickly research deeper into the backlink profile (Multi-QBL Launches)

A way to historize your research (the report philosophy our seasoned LRT users already know)

Export functions CSV and XLS

Chart Exporting for Superheros

The well know “favorite” and “blacklist” features you can use with other LRT functions

Quick account still has BLP and JUICE

The QBL tool is available stand-alone in the new and affordable “Quick” account.

For those cases where more research is needed Quick” Account also gets extra credits for our advanced tools BLP (Back Link Profiler) and JUICE (the bulk URL analyzer).

Also the report management, project management helps you organize your stuff.

Also the favorite list and blacklist features can be used with the “Quick” account.

That being said, the “Quick”-Account is the account for everyone – our much asked-for entry level products.

Quick Backlinks step-by-step

Enter the Domain or Page you want backlinks for

(this is even LOT faster and more convenient with the bookmarklets shown below)

Enter your data in a start form or use bookmarklets

Just wait a few seconds

Wow – just a few seconds and the report is available– can you imagine that? At this point you are able to see up to 2000 backlinks to your page/domain at the QBL.

really fast processing make QBL a breeze to work with

Currently it takes on average 5 seconds for the QBL to return its results, and we’re working hard to make it a lot faster in the next days. Stay tuned.

Multi QBL Launching

If you do deeper backlink research you simply select multiple links and click the „Start QBL“ link

Select multiple URLs you want to dig deeper into and launch a QBL for them right out of your list.

Charts you get in QBL

Altough the QBL is a really fast tool we do some processing do give you helpful charts. Some of those are the link breakdown by country and TLD, the anchor text breakdown, deep link ratio, link types (yes, we do support image links, frames and redirect links) and more… see for yourself.

More data you get in QBL

Beside our well-known Anchor Text and Link Status we’ve improved our Link Type which is now able to handle where exactly you get this link from. Even if it’s a frame or a redirect!

Link Power Metric

Additionally there’s a brand new metric for you – the “Power Bar”. Regarding the amount of backlinks, the popularity of the domain/page and the Alexa traffic rank it will show you how STRONG/GOOD/AVERAGE/LOW your link source is!

Bookmarklets are your friend

We recommend setup your browser with the handy bookmark lets we provide for quicker access from every page you are on. After all you want a quick view on the backlinks.
You can set them up by simply dragging these links to your browser bar…

QBLdom

QBLpag

QBL

Quick Backlinks Pricing

This is an open letter to our clients and prospective clients from Christoph C. Cemper, creator of the Link Research Tools.

Yahoo Site Explorer Down per Nov 21 2011

As you probably know – Yahoo Site Explorer has stopped working yesterday per November 21.
Finally. This has been long awaited and postponed by over a year, at least for us.

Yahoo Site Explorer Offline went offline on Nov 21 2011

Link Research Tools not affected

For you as a client this only means, that we now aggregate and validate link data from 22 instead of 23 sources.
The effect of Yahoo Site Explorer ceasing operations is mild based on our experience and test we conducted for
for the past months.

New Link Data Source = Double Link Data

Also note that in last week’s Link Boost update we also added two new
high quality link data sources to the mix (hence the jump from 21 to 23).

This means – for Superhero accounts – up to a double number of links for your research based on our tests.

Link Research Tools double link data amount despite Yahoo Site Explorer offline, DB1 and DB2 are two commercial link databases compared to what you get with Link Research Tools

Small Site Research Improved

Especially research on small websites profit from this as the discovery rate has been greatly improved
with this for small domains.

Small domain data is a big problem that many of the “monolithic” link tools fight with,
and will continue to do so, by concept. This is the reason why Link Research Tools
aggregate so many different sources and validate them in real-time for you.
Every report is fresh.

So, the LRT results are fantastic for you as an SEO and
absolutely unique on the market today.

Sudden Link Spikes? No, better data! Same price.

If you wondered why you suddenly see more links than last week, this is why. The new strong link data sources we integrated for you as an ongoing
improvement of the product show full effect. This can also be seen in the new feature “Link Boost” we introduced last week.

Also if you set Link Alerts you probably see similar “boost” effects with more links. There you can use the metric “Google Update date” to better gauge WHEN the link
was actually placed.

I hope I could clarify the “sudden link spike” that so many of you see because of this improvement and can calm you that it is probably not an unnatural link spike,
but a drastic improvement of the tools.

Double Link Data and more

These are great improvements, with

the doubling of the link data,

the Competitive Landscape Analyzer,

the SERP research tool

and the new Contact Finder

I think we really boosted the functionality
of the tools also in this year for you.

I’m especially proud on my team that made this happen,
but wait – there’s more to come!

Stay tuned. We’re not resting.

With this I wish you Happy Researching
and warm regards from freezing Vienna

Christoph C. Cemper
and the Team of
Link Research Tools

PS: If you have any questions open, just let me know!

The number of links you analyze matters, so we’ve worked hard again and implemented two new input sources, bringing the total number of link sources to 23! Additionally, we’ve introduced the Link Boost, which increases the number of links we analyze by up to 7,500!

And there’s so much more: The public launch of our API, additional usability improvements, Compound Keywords in addition to Brand/Money/Other in CLA, integration with Raven Tools, new Subfolder backlinks, improved encoding support and more! Let’s get into the details:

Magical: The Link Boost

Increase the number of links to the maximum with a “Link Boost”.

The Backlink Profiler shines with new features again: Link Boost! This new option enables up to 7,500 more links for your report. This will get you a tremendously higher output compared to the standard links you get for normal analysis.

Checking this box will boost up your links impressively!

You will only be able to analyse one package of SEO Metrics at a time, but it pays off: The number of links will increase by up to 7,500 links!

Thousands of additional links in this report!

Link Research Tools API

Integrate the Link Research Tools with your inhouse software!

Do you have your own software that uses SEO Metrics somewhere? Perhaps an automated client reporting dashboard?
Or do you simply want to check certain parameters automatically?

We’ve been testing an API for the Link Research Tools for several months now with a select group of top customers. After they’ve given their blessing, we’re launching it as a public beta to all of you. We’re still changing things like limits around internally, but the interface is stable, so feel free to code away!

You find your API Key and the link to the documentation on the Settings page.

23 Link Backends = Even More Links

We’ve found and implemented two new link backends, bringing the number of link backends that Superheros get links from to a total of 23! Together with the Link Boost, this should be a welcome addition for all Superhero users.

Want to get links from 23 link sources, too? Upgrade to the Superhero account!

Multi-Select Convenience

Work more efficiently, intuitively.

Did you ever start a number of reports into the wrong project? Was it annoying to move each of them to the correct project separately? The new multi-select feature we’re bringing to the Report Overview allows you to move and delete as many reports as you want at once. This unobtrusive feature will make working with the Report Overview so much more convenient, you will wonder how you could do without it!

Multi-Select convenience in the Report Overview

This doesn’t just work in the Report Overview – it’s also available in Reports, which makes it easy to add your links the Favorites, add them to one of the Blacklists or start a Juice Tool Report to get additional SEO metrics for some of the URLs.

Multi-Select also in all Reports

Intergration with Raven SEO

A few months ago, we asked you which link building workflow tools you were using. Since we’re increasingly launching our link prospecting tools publicly as part of the Link Research Tools, having the option to export link prospects into those link building tools was obviously something we’ve been working on hard.

Select the URLs you want to export to the Raven Tools and click the “Export for Raven Tools”-link.

Then download the file, click the “Import” link and upload it. You’re all set!

Please note two things:

Raven management confirmed that CSV imports do suck to some point and will give us an API just like other workflow tools have.

We will launch integration into additional link managment solution very soon – watch this space or contact us
to suggest new important tools to integrate into

Analyze Subfolder Backlinks in BLP

Did you ever work on a website that has different sections for different topics and different departments? Doing SEO can be especially tedious for them, because analyzing those areas separately, when there are no subdomains, requires lots of weeding out the data that isn’t relevant to a certain part of the domain.

Subfolder backlinks should help you do your work more efficiently. This innovative approach to link types means that instead of showing all the links to a domain, we only show those that link directly into a certain subfolder.

Not all SEOs will need that, but we know that some of you will love it!

Improved Encoding Support

If you’re not working with the English language only, you will know special characters like German Umlauts or Kyrillic letters have caused problems in the past. We’ve worked hard to change that and are happy to tell you that encoding problems should be a thing of the past in the Link Research Tools.

Compound Keywords in CLA

The Competitive Landscape Analyzer just got a bit cooler. You can classify “Compound Keywords” in addition to Brand keywords, Money keywords and Other keywords.

What is a compound keyword? Well, that’s a mixture typically containing the Money keyword and the Brand keyword. This could be <Brand Name> <Widgets> – just like “Samsung DVD-Player” or
“Interflora Flowers” or a similar combination where a Brand keyword is very well combined with the Money keyword, thus helping the rankings of the latter too.

They seem to have the correct Compound ratio (but suck at Brand/Money). How about you?

And more…

The Link Alerts email notification is now optional, too. You can deactivate it on the settings page.

In addition to the Project-based domain blacklist, there’s now also a global domain blacklist, where we recommend you put in URLs like wikipedia.org.

Superheros can now add the logo of a client to a Project, which will be shown in PDF-files that are exported from the Link Research Tools.

Did you know…

…that we’ve got several web-based link building trainings planned for the coming months? You can find a list at our list of link building trainings.

Contact Finder – get your Link Prospects to say YES! is a post from the Best Link Building Tools

When you meet somebody, the first impression matters. So when you approach a website’s owner that you want to link to you, you better be prepared.

Our new Contact Finder tool helps you doing just that by providing contact information for domains ranging from names, email addresses and telephone numbers to social network profiles and contact forms.

Cut down the manual leg-work of researching into prospect’s details and focus on building the relation!

Get to know your Link Prospects

Does he have a Twitter account? Then make yourself known by retweeting one of his tweets! Or does he have his hobbies listed on his public Facebook profile? Perhaps you can connect based on that? Are there hidden gems in his work history on LinkedIn? When it comes down to contacting someone for a link, every little piece of information can make a difference. The Contact Finder gets you all contact information at a glance. You won’t miss helpful information anymore.

How the Contact Finder works

Let’s say you did link prospecting using our SERP Research Tool for “search engine news” and found www.searchenginejournal.com, where you want to get a link from.

SERP Research Tool for "search engine news"

Now you copy the domain and go to the Contact Finder tool, enter the domain and click “Run Report”.

Contact Finder Input Form

The result is a detailed table in with all the data found grouped together by person. Not everybody on this list is really a contributor to the Search Engine Journal, but we’d rather include a contact too much than one too little. (And we’ll get better with this over time.)

Contact Finder Table

Interesting: Lots of Websites about the Contacts

You can see that some have a Facebook or LinkedIn profile, many have websites. Surendra Kumar Anne has a blog about Linux. Can you use this information in your contacting approach? Or do you think it’s better to use Twitter for your first contact? You also see that GB Banfield has tons of different facebook profiles and websites she manages, so there’s plenty off opportunity to read up on her and contact her.

Be Productive! Let Contact Finder do the leg work.

Contacting potential link partners is tedious work. Way to many websites don’t have contact forms linked to prominently and for some sites, especially old ones, finding contact information at all is nearly impossible to do for many sites in an acceptable amount of time. The Contact Finder does that work for you, fully automated, looking at sources we’re sure you wouldn’t have thought of yourself.

We don’t just crawl the website itself, we also look at a number of other resources to find contact information for your website. This is what we can find:

Phone Numbers

E-Mail Addresses

Fax Numbers

Twitter Accounts

Facebook Accounts

Google+ Accounts

LinkedIn Accounts

Xing Accounts (similar to LinkedIn, very big in Germany and other European countries)

Contact Pages

Their websites

What’s Next?

We’ve got big plans for the Contact Finder.

We will integrate it in many ways in into the Link Research Tools and we will definitely find ways to make the data even better and even more comprehensive.

This is where you come in. If you have ideas of how to integrate the Contact Finder with other tools, please contact us!

Do you know another source of contact data that we should implement? Please contact us!

Our two-year-anniversary version has some great things built in! We do look at the reading level of your links! Think reading-level and content quality impacts your links because of the Google Panda algorithm? Find out for YOUR niche!

We also did completely re-think how we should handle the workflow of projects within the Link Research Tools. This is to make your work with our toolkit even more efficient. To us, updating doesn’t simply mean to “stuff” our LRT with new features. Much more it means to find out what you and your clients need to stay at the cutting edge of the SEO industry.

Two powerful SEO metrics to help with Panda

Panda Cure? Check the Reading level of your backlinks

Our two new metrics will significantly improve your SEO research activities. Do you get links from pages with academic-level written content? Or maybe from pages that have been written for children? Does it affect the ranking for your niche? Our new “Google Reading Level” metric gives you the answer. Backlinks’ content will now be rated as “Basic”, “Intermediate” and “Advanced” based on Google’s own data, which gives you a good indicator for content quality. See for yourself how content quality affects your ranking in your niche!

You can also just use the Juice Tool for your own site an verify the results there against the competition profile as you can see below for the keyword “how to”.

"Google Reading Level" Link Profile for the Top 100 URLs for the keyword "how to"

Deep Link Ratio analysis to cure Google Panda problems

You don’t have to be a SEO guru to know that a site that only gets links to its start page looks a bit suspicious. But is it really? And what’s the correct ratio?
While the DLR has been around for years, Google Panda made this more important now again. Look up your and your competitors’ deep link ratio using Backlink Profiler and Competitive Landscape Analyzer reports, which provide you with this information in an easy to read chart. Panda drops are said to be related to the wrong deep link ratios, but as always, it depends on your country, language, keyword and niche. Unless you have looked at the competition you never know. Don’t believe the generalized hype.

This domain has about 25% deep links. Is it too much? Or too little? Find out using the Link Research Tools!

Improved Project Management

We completely redesigned the projects section within the Link Research Tools to let you manage your projects with ease. Our concern was to avoid selecting a project each time you want to start a report, or filter the results by project each time that you pick the “Report Overview” or the “Favorites” (formerly “URL Hotlist”).

Now you're all set. Your interface is switched to the new project.

This also changes the way that reports work.

You can

preset your client’s URL

preset competitors’ URLs which will be preset in the report forms

define a blacklist of URLs that you don’t want to get returned by the “Find Competing Pages”-feature

preselect the search engine country and language for the “Find Competing Pages”-feature

Advanced Project Settings

Most people create projects to do research around a specific domain. You can now specify default parameters in your project settings. This way you have to set your site specification like URL and competitors only once (and not in every report).

International Settings

You can now select your preferred search engine country and language for each project separately. These settings are used in every tool that uses the “Find Competing Pages” feature.

And for those of you that use SEMRush, you can now select for which one of SEMRush’s eight different country databases you want to access instead of always getting the data from the USA database.

Domain-Blacklist

You probably noticed that websites like Wikipedia and others get returned regularly using the “Find Competing Pages”-feature. Since Wikipedia is most likely not a site you can (or want to) compete with, you can now simply blacklist it and don’t have to manually remove it every time.

URL Hotlist becomes the powerful Favorites

You asked and we delivered. The Favorites feature (formerly known as URL Hotlist) has been improved. Big time. And we’re only getting started!

You can now

start JUICE reports for URLs in the Favorites

export favorites to CSV or XLS

These improvements are only a precursor for things to come and shall help manuel workflows today. You’ll see here – as soon as possible – the integration into external Linkbuilding workflow tools right from within the new Favorites.

Want to export your Favorites to hand over to your Linkbuilders? No problem!

It’s now also much easier to add URLs to the Favorites to begin with. All you have to do is to click the little star that you already know from the SERP Research Tool and it goes right into your Favorites. Note that this feature is only available for new reports, not for the old ones.

Click on the star to add a URL to the Favorites!

And even more!

Besides bug fixing right and left, some nice speed improvements in report processing (there’s more to come)
there are even more new features and improvements to announce!

Pre-selected SEO metrics

Do you always use the “Basic SEO stats”-package? We do, but there’s also a few others we use most of the time. We now present a new feature that should make your world much easier: Pre-selected SEO Metrics! Instead of selecting the same SEO metrics again and again, you can now store the SEO metrics for future reports after creating a report.

Store the SEO Metrics you used after creating a report!

Improved Site Type Detection

If you liked our SiteType metric, you’ll love it even more now. We got our hands dirty and tweaked this module so it works far more precise now. Besides being more accurate, it also detects content farms and a number of free hosters. If you have further suggestions to improve SiteType, please contact us!

Robots-Metatag Metric

With this new version of LRT we check the Robots meta tag for you – it tells if search engines follow links, index or archive a page or the opposite. Get all this information fast and automated in every report! This can be VERY helpful for digging deep in extended competitive research.

This is how MetaRobots and Google Reading Level metric look like in action.

TLD Distribution Chart

The types of TLDs linking to your site can matter in your SEO work. If you’re running a site with content specifically tailored for German customers, you should have have lots of links from German-speaking countries. Half of the links from the site we analyzed are from .com, a quarter from German or Austrian sites. Is it enough? That depends on your competition!

Too many .com links? Too little others? The Link Research Tools will tell you!

What do you think?

Do you like these new features?

Users of LinkResearchTools already know that their Facebook Likes and Tweets are an important factor when it comes to SEO. Now that Google itself got into Social Votes, SEO changes again. However the most important question is: How can you use Google +1 to rank in your Niche? With our Google +1 Metric you have the tool to lift the haze.

How many G+1 votes should I get?

There’s no simple answer to that question. It’s all about naturality and popularity. That means that the quality of your Link Profile is related to the profiles of other websites. Your goal is to convince Google that your website is popular and natural. Lets take a look at the following example:

Clear situation: get a page with lots of G+1 votes

In this example we compared the website techcrunch.com to the top-10 for the keyword “technology blog” with our CLA tool. At the first glance it looks like Google+ 1 votes actually harm techcrunch.com but if you take a closer look you see that the top-5 and the top-3 have at least 1 page that has over 1000 G+1 votes. Of course it could also be that simply too many pages of techcrunch are liked.

Top ranking result has 2 pages with over 1000 G+1 links. Coincidence?

Interestingly the best ranking site guardian.co.ok which has a lot of domain authority ranks for the keyword “technology blog”. Is it because it’s the only domain that has 2 pages with over 1000 G+1 votes? There’s no definitive answer to that question right now but it’s definitely a thing to keep an eye on.

Link Prospecting is enough? Pay less!

Are you one of those Link Builders that just keep pulling door handle after door handle until they find something that works? Or are you just starting out in SEO and need some opportunities to get some quick links on a reasonable budget? Now you have the perfect solution to boost your pages while keeping your expenses low: The Link Builder Account!

All the Superhero features for your SERP Research

Maximize your profit margin today!

After very positive feedback from our previous release (the SERP Research Tool) we now created an account type specially for the SERP Research Tool. For only EUR 39 (USD 49) you can now use all our SEO metrics just as if you had a Superhero account.
SERP Research got pimped: use as many SEO metrics as you want

Choose as many metrics as you like

All our customers who have access to our SERP Research Tool now can use all our SEO metrics regardless of account type. This enables you to rate backlink opportunities more precisely for your individual needs.

New Feature: limit your results

It’s not always necessary to get 200 or more results for a certain keyword-group. Often it suffices to get e.g. the top 30. The less results you choose the faster the report will be done. Which one you choose depends on how you work and your niche.

The fewer the results the faster it's done

Speed up your link building? There’s an App for that!

In the endless depths of the internet there are loads and loads of opportunities to post some backlinks with only minimal effort. Some are better than others, some are more suitable for your niche than others. Some belong to a “bad neighbourhood” and could harm your site. Is it even worth looking for those community-based pages? Today we’re giving you a link prospecting tool that enables you to switch gears and find valuable backlink sources just for your niche quickly.

SERP Research: Your SEO-Afterburner

Find pages to post a link

You know those comment-spammed guestbooks and reply pages? You don’t have to be an advanced SEO to smell from the distance that there’s something rotten here. It’s not only that these pages most likely are on Google’s “Avoid”-list, it’s also that the moment Google might think you are part of a bad neighbourhood, your page could be penalized, too. But there are also community pages of higher quality where a backlink can give you a significant boost. With our SERP Research Tool (SERP = Search Engine Result Page), you can find all those pages at once and get yourself powerful backlinks with little effort. In fact it’s probably the best link finder.

Let’s take a closer look at the new link linder:

Get in and see it in action

For our example we used the website www.jetstar.com. Let’s assume we want this website to link for the keywords “cheap flights” and “cheap ticket”. (You can add up to 20 keywords.) In case our options are not precise enough for you, you can also type in your own Google search parameters in there.

For now we want to find forum links where we would later post our links. Of course we don’t want to find ancient threads to bump so we set age to 1 year max. This saves you some time because comments on old forums are often considered SPAM immediately – or it might not be possible to post anymore. You can however just take all Google results into consideration if you want to find old pages that carry higher authority. You can still refine the results by using Google search parameters in the “Keywords” field.

Find results for your niche

set the kind of results you want

-

After you have entered what you want to find and selected the project, you can optionally enter additional SEO metrics.

you can add one of our SEO metrics

Since one size doesn’t fit all you have to select SEO metrics according to your niche and needs. For forum links however, the CEMPER Juice™ indicator might be a good choice since there are big quality difference (which leads to ranking differences) among them.

That’s it. Now our crawlers gather link data according to your settings.

-

Linked? Yes!

Allright, the report is finished and we can do the actual link prospecting and find the pages that might be relevant for us.

Get the best opportunity for a backlink

What you get is a detailed list of every page (in our case forum) that ranks for the keywords you entered. With the filtering options you are able to narrow down your list of links (e.g. only pages with a mozRank of at least 4 or with the highest possible a CEMPER Juice&tm; of Juice/25).

The “Linked” column tells you where you already posted a link. So you can make sure that you got all the important ones as well. It’s also a surefire method to prevent double-posting a backlink. Your goal is to have all the pages of interest have “Yes” in the Linked-Column after a few weeks or months of link prospecting and link building.

Google cares about Page Speed. Do you?

Click on Google Factors under Metrics

There are a lot of things a SEO has to take care of. In stressful times only the “must haves” make it to the final product and things like page speed often get lost. The problem is: Google already said that page speed should be a priority and is a ranking factor. Every tenth of a second can make the difference.
Google introduced a metric to show how fast a page is and you will be glad to hear that the LRT supports this metric for your links. You can find it unter “Google Factors”.

Page Speed is measured by values between 0 and 100 where 0 means extremely slow and 100 means fast.

In our given example “cheap flights” you can see that among the top ten all the pages load quite fastly.

How much does Page Speed affect my ranking?

Do you pay attention to the details?

It’s not always the big screws that matter. Often it’s the small ones where a single turn makes a difference. This time we focused on the fine-tuning to give you the hottest SEO tools you can get for dollars.

More Performance – even affects the Names!

Our crawlers get you fresh backlink data from over 21 sources for every single report. You will be glad to hear that even though there are more backlink sources, every individual report delivers even faster now.

The Backlink Profiler

Over and over again you guys told us that LRT’s tool names are confusing. That’s why we renamed our BATT-Tool. It’s now the Backlink Profiler (BLP). The fact that this new name can be shortened with 3 instead of 4 letters which makes it 25% easier to remember is a convenient sideffect.

-

The Link Juice Thief

The second tool we renamed is the Common Outbound Links Tool. Now you get your Link Juice with the Link Juice Thief (LJT). The new name explains how to use this tool rather than how we generate the data.
-

-

More Work in less time!

SEO data is nice but only if this data is relevant. Since not every data is not equally important for everyone we optimized the default settings according to the most occuring usecases.

Advanced Social Media Metrics

set your detail level

In the seo metric settings of a report, Superheroes can now set the detail level of their Social Vote data. In simple setting, Tweets and Facebook Like data is displayed as-is which gives a brief overview at a glance. In the advanced setting however advanced Web2.0 data is processed like splitting Facebook Likes to FB!Share and FB!Like.

-

-

Link Alerts: Dropped Links and Update

Last Google Update

Based on customer-feedback dropped links are now not displayed by default. If you want these links to be displayed you can change this in Link Alert’s settings anytime.

You can further check the date of the last time a Google Update occured. That might be an indicator of the time a backlink occured on older pages.

Backlink Profiler: Target URLs

In the Backlink Profiler (formerly BATT Tool) there is a column that shows where a backlink links to exactly. If it’s switched on you don’t have to check the details view every single time. It might be that the domain of a link has stronger pages. Wouldn’t it be pity to waste Link Juice over months or even years while a simple email to the admin would be enough to replace the link?

Rename reports easily

easy report-management

In your report-overview you can now rename multiple reports very easily. If the cursor moves above a report name, a link “rename” appears at the right end of this cell. If clicked, a small window opens in which you can edit the name of the report without leaving the report-overview.

PDF Export: Input URLs

Entered URLs for a report are now displayed in exported PDF reports.

In celebration of our German release, this announcement is written in German.

-

-

Backlink Profiler in Deutsch

Erweiterte Social Media Metriken

Detailgrad optional

Backlink Profiler: Target URLs

PDF Export: Input URLs
